The FRANCIS mirror coffee table takes up an iconic Petite Friture mirror and explores the horizontal plane. The original mirror design by Constance Guisset from 2012 has been combined with ceremonial shapes to create a mirror coffee table that brings poetry and design to any living room. The extra-large format makes FRANCIS a real statement piece. The watercolor hues of the Francis mirror echo the unexpected beauty of old, oxidized mirrors and the poetic grace of colored pigments blooming in clear water, as seen in painters' studios. Each piece of the stunning mirror table series has its own unique watercolor. The narrower the mirror, the more vibrant and dynamic the color. The watercolor motifs are hand-painted by the designer and then digitally processed to achieve the desired effect of multiple semi-transparent, tinted layers. Ultimately, this technique allows the designer to work with shape and form, enhancing the movement of the colors and giving the mirror coffee table the same harmony that is behind the success of FRANCIS mirrors. The watercolor motifs are printed on the underside of the mirror, which is then laminated, giving the finished FRANCIS mirror coffee table greater visual depth and making it much more resistant. The finished mirror is then inserted into pressed metal brackets and stands.
