Danish design duo Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm wanted to create a chair with the 'Plico Chair' that would take up as little space as possible when not in use without sacrificing comfort. They wanted to highlight what other designers often prefer to hide, and created a deceptively simple design with visible joints, beautiful brass fittings and consummate craftsmanship.
The solid oak frame and curved back legs are shaped to provide stability, and are available in high and low versions.
The back and seat, which have matching cushions, are upholstered in a quilted linen fabric for an elegant expression and supreme seating comfort.
The adjustable backrest folds down completely and the saddle leather armrests complete the design, giving it a distinctive expression full of character.
