The wall lamp 1227 was derived from the famous table lamp, which was invented by George Carwardine in 1934 and became a British design icon over the decades. In 2009 the 'Original 1227' could even be admired on a stamp.
The beautiful colours of the lamp, the twisted fabric cable and the authentic brass details create a new aesthetic in this iconic design by 'Anglepoise'. It has a tripartite frame in lacquered aluminium with three springs, inspired by the human arm and a masterpiece of mechanical balance. The wall bracket offers the necessary stability, while the light beam can be optimally aligned with the help of the round rotating screen and the swivelling arms.
Perfect for the reading corner, the work area or as an unusual light source above the kitchen table.
