In 1956, Arne Jacobsen designed the AJ Eklipta model for the town hall in Rødovre in two different sizes, namely 350 mm and 450 mm in diameter. They were used as wall lights in the staircases and outside. Later, another version with a diameter of 220 mm followed for St. Catherine's College in Great Britain. Arne Jacobsen always preferred the largest model for staircases. Today, the luminaire is used worldwide as the architectural icing on the cake.
