The luminaire primarily provides downward-directed, soft lighting via the white lacquered, conical inner reflector. The outer reflector section as the actual shade directs the light upwards and downwards and at the same time provides soft, diffuse lighting. The inside of the shade is illuminated through an opening in the smaller, conical reflector section.
