Pirce pendant light from Artemide

The Pirce Sospensione was created by designer Giuseppe Maurizio Scutellà for the Italian lighting manufacturer Artemide. Its unusual design is reminiscent of an artistic silhouette: softly curved rings emerge from a fine disc and spiral downwards. Depending on the length of the suspension, the effect of the luminaire changes and its silhouette appears either more compact or more elongated.

The light source is integrated into the lower, bowl-shaped shade and emits the light upwards. As a result, the pendant luminaire creates an indirect, atmospheric light with impressive light and shadow effects. Made of lacquered aluminum, the Pirce Mini is particularly effective in living and dining areas, but also creates stylish accents in offices (IP 20).

The clearly defined design typical of Scutellà has won several awards. The Pirce luminaire series from Artemide has received the Red Dot Design Award, the iF Design Award and the Good Design Award, among others.
