Honestly, the word 'hammock' used to make my skin crawl. A colorful Lilalaune model in wild rainbow colors corresponds to my textile nightmare and would never have come into my house or on the balcony.
I was appeased and ultimately delighted by this model from 'La Siesta': a real alternative to the classic pure cotton hammock. Because this particularly simple and classic specimen has nothing of the usual look of a hammock, which usually hangs limp together between two trees. This one looks much more like a chic, flying bed.
It's made of a weather-resistant material, a specially developed polypropylene fiber. Feels like cotton, yet is weatherproof and also dries really fast when I forget to take the hammock off the balcony during the next summer thunderstorm.
The mat can stay outdoors all summer long, because even the colors do not fade and the high-quality material is stain-resistant. My personal highlight: The integrated pillow and the padded lying surface make this pole hammock so comfortable that I would almost prefer it to my bed! It also has the pleasant advantage that it does not get cool from below.
The many strings provide me and my attachment with the very best comfort, as they distribute the weight perfectly. A relaxed feeling of weightlessness that I would definitely like to recommend to you as a rediscoverer of the hammock.
