The power of the Duotone carpet lies in its simplicity. Each carpet consists of only two colours: one for the weft thread, one for the warp thread. The combination of the two gives each piece its very own identity.

The designer Hella Jongerius was inspired by the simplest and most original form of weaving. The different thicknesses of the yarns and the contrasting colours give the carpet of 'Kvadrat Rugs' a charming irregularity that I particularly like.

Duotone' brings colour into your home and yet at the same time is a bit restrained, as the mix of yarns reduces the colour intensity.
