Serving trolley Matégot

Mathieu Matégot is the figure who created and significantly shaped the innovative technology around Rigitulle. If, like me, you are not familiar with Rigitulle, here is a brief description: Rigitulle is a finely perforated metal sheet. Due to the many uniform holes in the metal, the sheet becomes flexible and can be shaped wonderfully. Nevertheless, it does not lose stability and appears less solid.

On the tea trolley, you'll find the aforementioned sheet metal in the form of the two shelves. I find the integrated magazine and newspaper holder at the bottom particularly smart.

The trolley was designed by Matégot between 1953 and 1954. Its strong expression comes mainly also from the exceptionally designed structure on wheels.

A high-quality piece of furniture that is great as a bar trolley or for serving.
