The timeless icon of modern Danish design Hans J. Wegner presented the CH30 Chair in 1954, and the harmonious design embodies his continuous efforts to create the perfect chair. The CH30 Dining Chair is typical of Wegner's signature style: its organic design and exceptional craftsmanship are evident in refined details such as the cross-shaped cover caps on the curved, oval backrest, which leans back in line with the back legs to provide ultimate comfort. Combined with the wide, molded upholstered seat, the result is a chair with a high level of comfort and functionality. As the very comfortable chair can be pushed under a table, it takes up very little space, making it ideal for any modern context. The chair, which was taken out of production a few years ago, is now being reissued in close collaboration with Hans J. Wegner's design studio. The elegant CH30 Chair is produced according to its original working drawing - but an additional two centimeters in height have been added to meet modern standards. The CH30 is available in oak and walnut with various surface treatments and an upholstered seat covered in leather or textile. Designer Hans J. Wegner Hans J. Wegner is considered one of the most creative, innovative and prolific Danish furniture designers. Wegner is often referred to as the "master of chairs" - and he created almost 500 chairs in his lifetime, many of which are considered masterpieces. He is probably best known for his iconic Wishbone Chair, which has been in continuous production since 1950.
