The Carl Hansen & Søn VLA76 Foyer Chair was designed in 1945 by Vilhelm Lauritzen for the Radiohuset in Copenhagen and later reissued in collaboration with Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects. The chair combines a solid oak frame with an upholstered seat and a sloping backrest. Hand-polished armrests, high-quality leather upholstery, and handcrafted buttons highlight the meticulous craftsmanship. Vilhelm Lauritzen (1894–1984) was one of Denmark’s most significant architects and a pioneer of Danish Modernism. He created numerous iconic buildings and, in addition to architecture, also designed furniture, lighting, and other interior furnishings.
