Table Reale from Zanotta

Truly imposing and apparent is the base of the table Reale. On top of the highly unusual construction made of oak wood lies a noble crystal plate with bevelled edges.

Reale' was already designed in 1946 by Carlo Mollino for 'Zanotta'. In the beginning, the table was only produced in small quantities using a process produced in-house. In this process plywood was cold formed.

Incidentally, an original 'Reale' achieved an immense price at auction. It was the first piece of furniture from the 20th century to be sold for over a million dollars.

Today, 'Zanotta' still produces the chair according to Mollino's designs.
