Actually, I'm not a proponent of 'everything was better in the past', but when it comes to desks, I sometimes miss that representative, self-assured, almost authoritarian character that you often find in older models. Don't get me wrong, monstrous study sets aren't necessarily the best thing then either.
This desk here by Greta M. Grossman comes closer to what I mean. Light, elegant, stubborn and yet uncomplicated. The 'Desk 62' with its asymmetrical line and slender legs seems to nonchalantly defy gravity.
The extraordinary design is underlined by the noble combination of materials. American walnut and a deep black high-gloss finish. A true masterpiece of the Swedish design pioneer.
