The elliptical is part of the inventory of Mooris himself, so to speak.
The furniture owes its name 'Super Elliptical' not only to its obviously elliptical shape, but also to the traffic routing in Stockholm. The mathematically clever solution found there at the Sergels Torg roundabout inspired designer Piet Hein to create this unusual tabletop. Because a superellipse is, so to speak, an intermediate between an ellipse and a rectangle, which results in this perfectly geometric but also organic shape.
Together with the filigree, chrome-plated steel structure, this results in this wonderfully Nordic purist table.
In different sizes you can use it as a dining table as well as a desk. Here you can find the version of the 'Super Elliptical' with walnut veneer. But today I also have a model in plain white for you.
In the Mooris Office in Zurich you can find this great piece as a meeting table. You are welcome to visit it and see for yourself.
