Originally Charles and Ray Eames designed the Lobby Chairs for the lobby of the Time & Life Building in New York. The lush leather upholstered cushions of these chairs provide excellent comfort, including the 'ES 105', which was originally designed as a visitor's chair.

The design principle of the Lobby Chair ensures a similar level of comfort to the Lounge Chair: it consists of three individual upholstered sections connected by aluminium side sections.
