The new design coup by up-and-coming young designers Panter & Touron for my favorite label Vitra is much more than a simple sofa. The Anagram looks to the future and gets to the heart of our new needs and those of future generations: it is a platform for life. Transformable in no time at all and, thanks to sophisticated mechanisms, easily adaptable to changing needs without the need for tools. The future-oriented furniture is also super comfortable and provides space for relaxing alone as well as for socializing together, working in privacy or sleeping comfortably for guests.
The Anagram is based on a platform model where the individual platform modules are designed as islands. These can be combined with other modules from all four sides and can be fitted with elements such as back and side rests as well as add-on tables. Thanks to an ingenious click mechanism, these elements can be freely positioned all around and can be repositioned in a matter of seconds. This allows countless configurations and an uncomplicated changeover.
The 900x2200 mm platform module offers three seats. The freely positionable panels and plug-in tables allow versatile configurations, for example a classic sofa, open on one or both sides with a table element, a chaise longue or a platform that can be used all around in the middle of the room, completely without back and side panels.
This version has a dark Bordeaux base frame, making it particularly elegant and classically beautiful.
The Anagram is beautifully soft in its comfort, which I particularly appreciate, as this sets it apart from the often somewhat stiff sofas of its kind that have been on the market to date. However, this softness also creates a special look that is very homely and that you have to love if you choose this wonderful new piece of furniture.
