Behind the lounge chair Ferdinand lies the idea of creating an absolutely independent design that is at the same time sensitive to contemporary sensitivities and in context with the design classics of the 20th century.
The craft of woodturning is an important element of design - a technique that combines classical craftsmanship with ultra-modern production. The result is an outstanding and eye-catching design in which the backrest and frame merge unagitatedly.
As two generations of design tradition come together in this chair, it was designed after one of the founders of Brdr. Kürger: Ferdinand.
The Lounge Chair is available in light or dark oak. The seat is available in a version with 'Kvadrat' fabric in a wide range of colours, or with a leather seat with a hearty grain.
Ferdinand' is a collaboration between the Danish design studio OeO and Brdr. Kürger and was designed in the workshop of 'Brdr. Kürger' in Denmark.
