Free-standing Lungangolo shelf from Karakter

Castiglioni was someone who didn't see corners as a problem - but as an opportunity.
He is said to have thought a lot about lost space. About the empty centimetres and square meters that simply remain unused in every home. This thinking gave rise to many of his designs - including the Lungangolo, a piece of furniture that belongs exactly where there is nothing else: in the corner.
Four slender pillars, square cross struts, shelves at different heights. A drawer and a side element give the whole thing stability and character at the same time. Originally produced by Bernini, the Lungangolo is a real all-rounder: shelf, tray, storage space - just as you need it.
And because Castiglioni also thought about the details: the position of the drawer made it necessary to produce the Lungangolo in two versions - one for right-handed users and one for left-handed users. Well thought out down to the last corner. Literally.
