As early as the 1950s, designer Poul Henningsen responded to the constant changes in the shape and size of light bulbs and created a great lamp that could be used with any light source. The iconic design is based on the system of three reflective shades that provide a pleasant and completely glare-free light. The original luminaire was equipped with red and blue shades to enhance the color of the light.
These colors were later removed, as modern light sources reproduced daylight much more effectively than was possible in the 1950s. The PH 5 has since become a very well-known and popular pendant luminaire that can be found in many households around the world in many colors.
The beautiful anniversary edition is painted in matt white on the outside and pale rose on the inside, which gives it a soft, warm light. The shimmering brass supports add a sophisticated touch.
