The lighting manufacturer Le Klint has been an outstanding ambassador for Danish design and arts and crafts since the 1940s and is not least known for its unique collection of handmade lampshades designed according to Japanese origami principles.
By the way, 'Le Klint' is also a purveyor to the Danish royal family and has been manufacturing all its lamps with great care in Denmark since 1943. The same goes for the Carronade series, which Swedish designer Markus Johansson has devised.
This new collection originally drew its inspiration from a small table lamp with a playful, complicated and eye-catching shape - that of a small cannon. In the version as table or wall lamp this is particularly obvious.
Quite charming how the 'Carronade' 'shoots' its light from the ceiling into the living room. The lights are rather small, therefore several of their kind make themselves particularly good together.
Almost a sculpture, I think! However, one that is equipped with the functionality of a traditional luminaire that can be swivelled at will.
