Vartoccio' is an exceptional vase designed by Pietro Chiesa in 1932. Its manual production makes each vase unique.
This piece wants to be put on display. For example, as a decoration on the sideboard or on a shelf.
Pietro Chiesa was a descendant of an important family of artists from Ticino and opened his own glass manufactory in 1921 after working as an apprentice at the Giannotti glassworks. In the early 1920s he took part in the Venice Biennale, the Monza Biennale, the Exposition des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and exhibitions in Cologne and Barcelona. His work combines extreme modernity with outstanding technical skill.
