From today there is a veritables design treat with me: The sofa Pacha! And for outdoors! Matching you will also find the stool of the series with me.
The sofa is a variation of the 'Pacha Lounge Chair', which the legendary French designer Pierre Paulin originally designed in 1975. Paulin created the chair in line with the changing design style of his time, replacing the austerity of post-war design with a new, powerful approach.
Paulin managed to give the rounded forms of the Pacha Lounge Chair a real elegance by finding the perfect proportions, raising it slightly on its base, and tracing the foam and upholstery with inward sloping seam lines.
With this piece, among others, Pierre Paulin pioneered low-level living, a modern way of living and sitting on the floor by doing away with chair legs.
The sculptural softness of the Pacha collection has always rewarded the sitter with a level of relaxation akin to sitting on the clouds that inspired it. Now the characteristic comfort and unmistakable aesthetics of the indoor collection are also available outdoors. Its low typology, - a rarity among outdoor seating - is a real eye-catcher.
