The British-Israeli chef Yotam Ottolenghi not only makes cookbooks, but also tableware. The plates and bowls he designed for Serax make me dream of beautiful Tel Aviv and the heavenly food that awaits me on every corner.
With the painted soup plate, I just imagine myself in a cozy street café of the hip city.
With an abundance of colors, vegetable prints and positive vibes, the brand new collection Feast reflects everything its creator Yotam Ottolenghi stands for. For this project, the chef teamed up with Italian artist Ivo Bisignano. 'Ivo is both a good friend and a soulmate for the creative process of all Ottolenghi graphics,' says Yotam Ottolenghi.
As for what adds to the chef's charm? It's the signature Ottolenghi feel of 'unabashed nonchalance'.
' This collection is a collaboration fueled by camaraderie and the sharing of lovingly prepared food around a beautifully set table.
I hope you enjoy the sensible mix-and-match series as much as I do.
