Beds that can be stacked are my latest passion. Everybody knows a weird hobby, right?
Well then, the newest member of my collection is called 'Turtle' and is even among the stacking beds an exotic. Here one looks in vain for the mattress on the grate, but finds it cleverly stowed underneath.
In no time at all, the striking wood turns a sofa into a double bed. Bed base and frame are made of one piece and allow flexible living.
The 'Turtle' consists of a floor-free, naturally lacquered plywood shell. The milled slots provide springing and ventilation for the mattress. When stacking, the feet fit into the handles.
An architecturally mature concept by Lukas Buol and Marco Zünd for mobile living.
