Wegner presented the design of the CH07 Shell Chair in 1963, many critics were enthusiastic about the chair's avant-garde look. Mixed reviews in the 1960s, together with the less sophisticated production techniques of the time, meant that the Shell Chair was only produced in a very limited edition.
