Armchair Cité by Jean Prouvé

The Cité armchair is one of the early masterpieces of the French designer and constructor Jean Prouvé. And I'm very proud to present this one to you today.

Originally designed to furnish the dormitory at the Cité Universitaire in Nancy, Prouvé used the comfortable, spacious armchair with its powder-coated sheet steel runners and leather belt armrests even in the living room of his house.

The generous dimensions and the pleasant upholstery ensure a high level of comfort. I have to imagine Mr Prouvé relaxing in his very personal 'Cité'. So that means something when the designer himself performs his power naps in here.

You can really have a say in this seating furniture: You can choose the frame, the fabric cover, the gliders.
