In addition to the well-known chairs, the product range of the Swiss furniture manufacturer Horgenglarus also includes a wide selection of high-quality tables.
For example the archetypes of the classic bistro table with cast-iron legs and tops made of oiled or lacquered solid wood. Together with Studio Hannes Wettstein, 'Horgenglarus' has critically examined this long forgotten table typology and now presents the 'Savoy', a modern interpretation of a traditional table.
Savoy' consists of a rectangular solid wood tabletop resting on two slender cast iron legs painted anthracite. The simple, gently curved legs are filigree and unfussy and give 'Savoy' a timeless austerity.
For the production of the feet, 'Horgenglarus' works together with a specialised local foundry, which still masters the traditional craft of sand casting.
