When Danes take a trip, they often return home rich with ideas. During a trip to Spain in 1958, Børge Mogensen was highly inspired by this traditional type of chair, which comes from the old Islamic cultural areas. From Andalusia to northern India, people still sit on these chairs and tell stories from 1001 nights.
Mogensen modernised the form, removed the artistic recesses and preserved the essential: The wide armrest gives the armchair both character and practical storage space.
Put it in the living room, in front of the fireplace or as an eyecatcher also in the bedroom. The combination of oak and bend leather lends the armchair something robust and rustic.
