This chair was originally designed by Danish designer Finn Juhl for a carpenter in 1946 - hence the name.
The 46 chair represents the best of modern Danish furniture design. When Finn Juhl designed the 46 chair, he also designed a slightly more minimalist version without armrests, and this piece is now seeing the light of day again.
Finn Juhl clearly tried to emphasize the lightness of the chair by separating the worn from the supporting element. Thanks to modern technology, the new version is produced in outstanding quality with stronger joints than the original from 1946.
The '46 Chair' is made of oak or walnut and covered with leather in various colours. The chair is perfect as a meaningful individual piece and as such knows how to tell a lot of history.
