The shape of the Pirellone floor lamp was inspired by the Pirelli skyscraper built in Milan in 1956. The creative genius behind the building and lamp was Gio Ponti, the founder of 'Fontana Arte'.
The elliptically shaped stand lamp consists of two shades of curved pressed glass on a satin nickel-plated structure of cast brass. Thanks to its slender shape, the room floor lamp fits well in corners or small niches.
'Pirellone' has a double dimmer function and gives both indirect light and diffuse scattered light when switched individually or simultaneously.
