A bed is a bed, is a bed. At least in this case.
This one was designed by Hans Gugelot and realized in 1954 in collaboration with Max Bill as part of his teaching assignment with the students of the Hochschule für Gestaltung Ulm. Simple and timeless, without wanting to be more than a bed.
The reduced appearance is mainly characterized by the black lacquered, powder-coated aluminum, which can be complemented by an equally simple slatted frame.
Freed from headboard and footboard, the bed could suddenly be placed freely in the room - absolutely novel for that time. It had transferred the protected position, placed against the wall, into the open space. There, the liberated magical place of dreaming and loving opened up.
Over the years, the 'Gugelot' bed remained unchanged and so the classic is still available today in the usual masses.
With me you can choose and order both the matching mattress and the slatted frame.
