George Nelson, as design director of 'Herman Miller', was a key figure in the American design of the last century. He brought in famous designers like the Eames couple. However, he also designed furniture for the living and office area on his own.
At this table, which you see here, he even connected these two areas and created the 'Home Desk. Actually conceived as a ladies' secretary, it is based on a graceful and light grace, which I like very much.
The combination of chrome steel tube and the elegant walnut veneer supports this feminine design, but is somewhat loosened up by the coloured compartments.
A piece of furniture timeless in design and made for my small home office.
