This exalted sofa from Finn Juhl's pen was a commissioned work for Hollis Baker, a furniture manufacturer from Michigan. The American entrepreneur invited Finn Juhl to design a modern furniture collection for him. This event marked the beginning of what later became known as 'Danish Modern', triggering an export boom for Danish design to the United States.
The sculptural sofa with its two-piece back became Finn Juhl's American debut.
This seating is masterfully crafted with a wood frame in oak or walnut. The fabric upholstery is completely hand sewn with springs in the cushion for maximum comfort and durability.
Give the 'Baker' plenty of room when you bring it into your home. It will thank you with a whole lot of charisma.
