Cult armchair 'Joe Jeans'

This armchair is an absolute eye-catcher and a famous one to boot!

'Joe' is a large comfortable armchair in the shape of a giant baseball glove mounted on invisible wheels.

With this project, the designers, inspired by the poetics of Pop Art, have given material form to their admiration for the legendary American baseball star Joe DiMaggio.

With a bold shift in scale, they transformed the glove into an inviting seat, adding a hyper-realistic figure borrowed from the art world to the domestic environment.

The 'Jeans' version is an anniversary edition to mark the 50th anniversary of the Joe armchair. Made from fine cotton and silk denim, in Prussian blue, 'Joe Jeans' is a tribute to the material most closely identified with the American popular culture alluded to in the design.
