Florence Bourel returns to her African inspirations and has designed the Aduma carpet, reminiscent of tribal masks.
The white masks of Gabon have a great influence on modern art. Here it has been translated into complementary colours and is reminiscent of cubist painting. I find it particularly exciting that the Aduma carpet plays with relief and texture effects.
The carpet comes from the traditional company Toulemonde Bochart near Paris, which has grown from a small, fine family business into a well-known and extremely innovative carpet specialist. One of the reasons for this is that it has always believed in the carpet as a central accessory of stylish home furnishings. And it has always kept its finger on the pulse of time and demand, working with both established and renowned designers as well as courageous young designers.
