Anyone who has paid close attention in manual work lessons knows a backstitch is a way of sewing and an essential part of embroidery. And it was precisely this raw beauty of quilting, which is easily overlooked, that the design studio Raw-Edges dealt with. Her aim was to understand the language of this random step stitch and let it mature into a carpet collection. They concentrated on colour combinations, patterns, yarn thicknesses, haptics and, of course, craftsmanship.
A child of this design is the carpet Backstitch Busy. In the spirit of a kilim, it was woven from wool threads on a loom and then supplemented and decorated with handmade embroidery.
Busy', as its name suggests, has a lively pattern that creates wonderful nuances and colours.
