The 'Wishbone Chair' is one of the most iconic and celebrated designs of the Dane Hans J. Wegner. A light-looking, beautiful and above all comfortable chair with the characteristic Ypsilon in the backrest.
The very first model of the chair CH24, designed by Hans J. Wegner exclusively for Carl Hansen & Søn in 1949, has been in continuous production since its introduction in 1950. The deep and complex colors are inspired by the rugged beauty of the Nordic landscape.
Its simple design and clean lines make the chair a prime example of the highest craftsmanship. The understated look belies the fact that 100 individual steps are required to produce the chair. The hand-woven seat alone is made from 120 meters of paper cord. The frame and backrest, on the other hand, are made of natural wood.
A piece of furniture that is just bursting with Nordic design flair. And which color do you like best?
