A particularly noble piece I've chosen for you today: the sideboard Chicago, designed by 'Norm Architects' for the Spanish label Punt.
Inspired by modernist architecture and the free, repetitive building techniques known from the mid-century, 'Chicago' is a tribute to this particular architectural period.
With its light and floating appearance, the sideboard almost looks like a piece of modern architecture itself. The raised solid steel construction adds stability and structure, while the floating wooden cabinet further enhances the spatial impression.
The top, with its elongated eaves like a floating roof, is the perfect minimalist frame for the three simple natural materials of wood, steel and stone.
