Butterfly Chair in Icelandic lambskin from Cuero

The Iceland Mariposa Butterfly Chair from cuero is more than just a piece of furniture. Originally designed by Antonio Bonet, Jorge Ferrari and Juan Kurchan in Argentina in the 1930s, the butterfly chair - then called "BFK" after the initials of its creators - made the leap to the USA, where it has been on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York since 1941. The Swedish design label cuero is bringing this South American classic back into the living room as a carefully designed re-edition.
The Butterfly Chair experienced its heyday in the 1950s and 60s: casually lounging instead of sitting stiffly - the armchair became the symbol of an entire generation and its new attitude to life. Today it is as relevant as ever. The Iceland Mariposa from cuero is made from grown lambskin, is particularly carefully crafted and combines design history with timeless character. In addition to the Iceland Mariposa, cuero offers other versions of the Butterfly Chair - the right version for every taste.
