In retrospect, Wilhelm Kienzle's collapsible shelf can today be regarded as one of the most popular pieces of furniture from the period of Swiss modernism. Its efficiency in terms of material usage and space requirements can hardly be surpassed.
The practical and aesthetic advantages of this design are particularly evident in the arrangement: arranged side by side, the lateral shelf supports almost do not appear, the horizontal line is emphasised.
Additional shelf levels can be added on top of each other and adapted to requirements by the freely selectable combinations of high or flat shelves.
The shelves of the 'Kienzle' are made of walnut, which gives the classic a new freshness and is very compatible with my many new books.
