Max Bills Cross frames chair

The design for this chair by Max Bill dates back as early as 1952, and fortunately, shortly before the turn of the millennium, the beauty of the chair was rediscovered and it was put into production in a re-edition.

The model shows Bill's skills as a product designer and received several awards back in the fifties. Among them 'The good form' of the Swiss Werkbund.

The special leg construction by means of a cross frame connection is an invention of Bill. This supports the seat in the middle and gives the chair the greatest possible static support. From a formal point of view, the contrast between the thin seat and the strong frame accentuates the technical structure and makes it look powerful and three-dimensional.

And last but not least, it's downright comfortable, my dears!

In this version, the chair is unupholstered. But it is also available in an upholstered version.
