Table lamp 'Tropico' in opal glass

'Tropico' is a spherical cap made of noble opal glass, which is flattened and held by a large mirrored metal head.

In the table version, it is reminiscent of a noble mushroom with its solid marble base and provides both object character and wonderfully soft-warm light.

The shape of light is the central theme of this extended project by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti: shapes of glass and metal that collect, contain and diffuse the light in the room.

The blown glass has a magic all its own and creates surprising and fascinating effects, patterns and moods.
