The design of the Panthella lamp is one of Verner Panton's most important designs and reflects the larger-than-life personality of the Danish architect. His aim was to create a lamp with an organic shape that would provide 100% glare-free light, with both the stand and the shade serving as light reflectors. Panton achieved this in 1971 with the Panthella lamp, which he designed together with Louis Poulsen. The characteristic shape of the lamp and its ability to reflect soft light from its trumpet-shaped base have cemented its status as a design icon. The Panthella 160 Portable luminaire is a scaled-down version of the original design. With a diameter of just 160 mm, the luminaire is the perfect size to take from room to room or outside on the balcony or in the garden, where it looks fantastic and creates a wonderful atmosphere.
