The 'Panthella' reminds me of a jellyfish that emerges from the depths of the sea. A truly iconic figure distinguishes this design by Verner Panton.
In 1971 Panton designed the 'Panthella'. The organic shapes of this lamp are still very popular today.
Panton's aim was to create a luminaire in which the base and shade serve as a reflector. Originally, the lamp was intended to be available in several colours, but today it is only available in white.
The 'Panthella' radiates soft and diffuse room light. The hemispherical shade reflects the light downwards and the material ensures that most of the light from the surface of the shade is diffused into the room.
