Mondrian Cabinet Object 1

The traditional Swiss manufacturer Röthlisberger is celebrating a colourful anniversary. Of course, Mooris gets very excited and rejoices with his dear friends from Bern. Normally one celebrates big anniversaries with champagne and candles or - as 'Röthisberger' is showing us today - with classics.

The Mondrian wardrobe was the first model to be added to the collection in 1977, thus laying the foundation stone for the success story of 'Röhtlisberger'. Forty years of perfection later, a new production of the 'Mondrian' is now available, which I would like to show you as one of the first.

Inspired by the famous colour compositions of Piet Mondrian, the designer Koni Ochsner created the cabinet as functional furniture for individualists. Thus the colours and proportions of the cabinet were modelled on the function.

Object 1' was classically designed for the living area. For example, behind the yellow flap there is enough storage space for the small house bar. Behind the other surfaces there is enough space for the fine collection of plates and the Sunday crockery.

Both production and the elaborate workmanship involve a lot of manual work. The noble appearance is the result of this precision in combination with the high gloss level of the surface.

The originals of Piet Mondrian hang today in famous museums all over the world. The equally unique Mondrian cabinet, on the other hand, is a timeless piece of furniture that you can place in your home and admire every day anew.
