The 62 chest of drawers was actually designed by Greta M. Grossman as early as 1952. However, as it was considered ten years ahead of its time, its name was unceremoniously predated. The chest of drawers illustrates the designer's penchant for unusual shapes and unusual combinations of materials.
The slender metal legs with spherical feet - a characteristic feature of Grossman - contrast with the sharp, rectangular shape in luxurious American walnut, giving the furniture a characteristic lightness and making it appear almost as if it were defying gravity.
For added elegance, the deep black full gloss lacquer finish of the table top and the small solid wood balls of the drawer.
Dresser 62 is a meaningful piece that demands its space. This piece of furniture looks particularly good in a spacious entrance or even in the living room.
