A real design classic is buzzing through my online store today: the Mosquito chair, which Niko Kralj designed back in 1953.
The special feature of the 'Mosquito Chair' is the seat, which consists of two divided plywood panels. The seat shells are connected with an elegant, tapered base.
Slovenian Niko Kralj became best known for designing the Rex folding chair in the 1950s. But the designer and entrepreneur created numerous other models, which are now reissued by 'Rex Kralj'.
The forward-thinking designs and inventions of the designer and his eye for practical and at the same time beautiful solutions made him one of the most important legends of timeless and minimalist design.
