And there is outstanding news: The icon in water-based soft colors will join Carl Hansen & Søn's standard range, with the wonderful Ilse Crawford color palette celebrating more than 70 years of collaboration between Carl Hansen & Søn and Hans J. Wegner. The deep and complex colors are inspired by the rugged beauty of the Nordic landscape.
Its simple design and clean lines make the chair a prime example of the highest craftsmanship. The understated look belies the fact that 100 individual steps are required to create the chair. The hand-woven seat alone is made from 120 meters of paper cord. The frame and backrest, on the other hand, are made of natural wood.
