I still remember the family parties at my grosi's house. Each time I had to play a song with the recorder. The relatives have generously smiled away my absence of talent. But for me they were always torturous minutes. The only beautiful thing next to the piece Rüeblikuchen danach was the music stand, which looked so completely different from the one in the flute lesson. Its wooden surface was very fine and if I wanted to lower the stand and make the shelf more slanting, I only had to turn a knob and the furniture moved in all directions.
Today I know it's the fine Caruelle® furniture from 'Embru'. There is almost no function that this classic furniture does not fulfil. The advertising fanfold from 1955 presents no less than 100 possible uses: As side table for the already full brunch buffet, as lectern, game board, as food tray for the flu patient, as furniture for the potted plant - or as music stand, to name just a few.
The upper table top can be swivelled horizontally and vertically in just a few steps or removed and used as a serving tray.
The traditional furniture is unfortunately not produced for long. That's why I'm making sure that the classic all-round furniture is safe - and thus building a bridge to the generations before me. And I'm looking forward to it, until my little one unpacks his recorder and starts playing.
