Lehni' has a new chair! And this one was created in collaboration with 'Qwstion'. Yes, that's right. The bag manufacturer.
Furniture for sitting, lying or storing things is part of our everyday life - just like bags are. In an extraordinary collaboration between two Swiss companies, furniture manufacturer Lehni and bag label Qwstion are pursuing a common goal: the production of a recyclable chair - a piece of furniture that carries people through life. Innovative metalworking meets progressive material development in textiles to close the circle, and preserve Swiss design for future generations.
'Ensō' is an armchair for indoors and outdoors, characterized by functionality, timeless design and minimal resource consumption. Aluminium from recycling cycles and regenerative, naturally grown plant fibres form the basis of the frame and seat, all other materials used such as screws and feet can also continue to exist in cycles.
The armchair is manufactured in the 'Lehni' factory in Dübendorf and the textile seat is also made in Switzerland from bananatex, which was developed by 'Qwstion' and is completely biodegradable.
